Buy a book called "Up the duff" by Kaz Cooke. The funniest and lighthearted pregnancy book going around. Stop smoking, stop drinking, no drugs. Lots of fruit and vegies. Go to the chemist and get pregnancy vitamins. Elevit is the best but not cheap or get Blackmores. Relax........ Get books from the library if you cant afford to buy them but if this pregnancy was not expected and you need a book thats not "clinical" the one I suggested is great. Have you seen a doctor yet? if not book an appointment. CONGRATULATIONS !!!

first of all tea has more caffeine than coffee and you should not drink any caffeine while pregnant. you should however drink 6 or 8 glasses of water a day.

At 6 weeks of pregnancy you should expect to start urinating allot and have sore boobs. If you are one of the unfortunate ones you will also start having morning sickness if you haven't already.
You can also go to www.babycenter.com and see week to week how you are progressing. Good Luck and Congrats

Tea has a lot of caffeine so try de caf of just keep it limited. At 6 weeks there is not much going on in pregnancy, the excitement happens much later.

At 6 weeks of pregnancy, you will have various symptoms such as....tender breasts, nausea, vomiting, increased sense of smell, mild cramping, fatigue...etc. It is good to limit your intake of caffeine. Try water, fruit juices, or decaf tea/coffee. Do not smoke or drink alcohol. Make an appt. with your ob/gyn as soon as possible. You also need to start taking a good prenatal vitamin.

A wonderful book that I think you may love and will answer all your questions and more, is: "What To Expect When You're Expecting".
Also, limit caffeinated beverages to no more than 1 a day.
Eat healthy foods
Exercise lightly

Avoid-Alcohol, nicotine, pot, cocaine, heroine etc... To those people who tell you that smoking or a little drinking doesn't effect the baby are stupid. The cells in the brain are disrupted, they don't see it, so they don't know it happens. Your baby is all ready busy growing, the head and heart are all ready developing, the spinal cord is next. By the 8th week fingers and toes are recognizably distinct as separate digits.
