Maybe I should be doing more for the world

I do all the usual 'green' stuff like recycling, conserving energy, don't use a car or fly short distances, buy Fairtrade and organic where possible. I also give blood, work in health care, am an organ donor, don't and won't have children. I donate to a few charities and invest in ethically sound shares portfolios. I reuse my plastic bags! There's loads of stuff you can do like this, but just being nice to everyone you meet can also make the world a nicer place to be in. Smile at strangers!

1/ I gave up my car and walk whenever possible. Public transport for long journeys.
2/ Recycle paper, plastic, metal and organic waste.
3/ Grow some of my own fruit & veg.
4/ Turn off unnecessary lights and never leave appliances on standby.
5/ Unwanted clothes and linen go to aid charities.
6/ Unwanted furniture to charities.
7/ Things like not heating up the iron to press one item. It's more efficient to do a lot at one sitting as it were.
8/ Donate to overseas aid projects

On the plus side:
I recycle.
I don't take antibiotics.
I spay and neuter my pets.
I had only two children.
I only eat organic food.
I plant only native plant species in my yard.
On the minus side:
I drive a 505 hp Corvette that requires high octane fossil fuel. I'm a living oxymoron. But
I guess when I go to hell, I'll get there quicker than everyone else.

If I am selfish, meaning I am greedy, jealous, inflicting physical and psychological pain, forcing what I believe, worship the people above me, fighting with my peers and kicking the people below me and all the wicked attitude that you can think of selfishness, then for sure I am one that sow sorrow in our world. If I totally dissolve my selfishness then I am helping the world, It's comparable to a ship that is sinking and each one of us has a big load that makes the ship sink, If I throw my load out of the ship, then I help the ship to rise.

When I'm not studying I work for an organisation as a volunteer. I work alongside the police as an outreach worker, educating kids about the dangers of substance missuse and getting those who are already addicted into rehab.

As best as one can do as an individual:
Low emissions car
Energy efficient gas and electrical appliances
Two kids only
Environmentally friendly soaps etc
On the local planning committee - we give developers loads of stick when they submit less than wonderful planning applications and, particularly, if they haven't included energy saving measures in excess of the minimum requirements.

I know astrology .So i can explain the period of difficulties to people and how long or how serious the problem is. Many of them get redresses and thank me. I have my own consultation fees which varies according to the affordability of the person in trouble.
