most of the time, i'm not home because i go trick or treating with my friends but we do leave the light on for the trick or treaters.

No. I love Halloween. I can't wait to get trick-or-treaters. I keep my light on later than I need to. Just in case I would get some stragglers.

I do.. nothing against trick or treaters but I've never been able to get used to strangers coming to my house.

I had to one year...I ran out of candy and kids were still coming by, so I turned out all the lights and didn't answer the door for the rest of the night.

No, I love Halloween! I sit outside and give out candy...the lady down the street puts string across her porch entrance so kids can't come to the door...she always gets egged...I wonder why!

I give out candy for a while, but if I run out or it gets late, I shut off the lights.

we have the light on for about an hour then off...the smaller kids come early with parents so we treat them then go back to our normal activities

Yes, I typically put my lights on -- I can think of maybe one year where I didn't...and of course, if I'm not home I don't put them on.
