"Three Skeleton Key" by George G. Toudouze is one of the scariest stories I've read. It's about three men trapped in a lighthouse surrounded by millions of starving rats who are clawing to get in to eat them. It's so creepy! It was also made into a 30 minute radio show starring Vincent Price and it's well worth a listen.

You can read the book of Revelation in Bible's last book about Judgment Day. It talks about Lake of Fire, people want to die but can not die, islands will be moved, great destruction will occur everywhere.
