Bush is really only the front man for his advisors and the cleverer members of his administration. His actions and opinions are not his own..he is clearly not that bright. In effect, we have a puppet president whose strings are pulled by his policy formers.
The "war on terror" in Iraq is an economic war in which thousands of US citizens in the military are dying, it has little or nothing to do with "freedom"..only with the sort of government which will be suitable to US requirements. The religious right are, by definition, fundamentally dangerous and undemocratic...for these reasons and so many others he does not deserve he support of the people.

Today in history America will go down as a country sadly misled and a population grossly decieved by a not very democratically elected Govt.
The great American people are now led by a sick man, who would rule democratically (lol) by iinventing and inducing the element of fear.
By a Phsyco hiding under the guise of a president who brought the world to the brink of a nuclear war, who created and fanned terrorism.
Who planned the murder of hundreds of his country men in a most spectacular manner to win thier hearts for his policies and plans. (refer to the report of the 9/11 wherein the Building was insured a month before the planes crashed in, for a tidy sum of 7 Billion Dollars, and the traces of explosives found that could have actually brought down the building)
Who misled the world about Iraq having WMDs and sending thousands of American heros to be butchered in Iraq in full public view, to gain the support of the American people to further his phsycotic Inclinations.
There is much more murder and mayhem awaiting the innocent but highly gullible people of the west and east, designed by the HUB OF EVIL, Your George W Bush.

I support the OFFICE of the Presidency, but not THIS President. I find him slick, laughable, untrust-worthy, callous, and the he chose to go to war with a sovereign nation (Iraq) that we had no business fighting against at this time when we had reasons (causes belli) to fight and win in Afghanistan..
The multitude of high crimes and misdemeanors care to numerous to write here.

I support him, even though he has some policies that I don't agree with. I like his steadfastness in this war in the middle east, for these reasons:
The terrorists have sworn to kill us. If we don't fight them on their own soil, we will be fighting them here. They have shown that they are able and willing to attack the western countries. Remember Beiruit, the USS Cole, the first WTC bombing (the one in the basement garage), 9/11, the british subway bombings, the spanish train bombings? The terrorists are willing to hit us any way they can.
The Taliban controls large parts of Afghanistan (remember Afghanistan? It doesn't get much press any more, but it's still there). If we don't stop them there, Bin Laden will take over that country.
Next door to Afghanistan is Pakistan. That country also has a sizeable islamic faction. If they are taken over by the radical fundamentalist faction, we'll be in real trouble.
Pakistan has nuclear weapons.
Now - do you want to end the war, let the dominos fall, and hand bin Laden a nuclear weapon or 20? Or do you support this war, and hope like hell that we can defeat them?

The Military does. They swore an oath to Defend Liberty and President. I ferget the exact words now,it was a long time ago, but I do remember I swore an oath to Protect and Defend the Constitution of The United States of America and the president was in there somewheres.
All badguys foriegn and domesic was in there also.
As Americans we do not have to like the guy, but we agreed that we would do what he sugsets to Congress, and if Congress and Courts agree that he is right, thats us, if its all legal and done through Constitutional Authority then its all ok. I support the President, but I do not agree with the man on certain issues. Its kinda like freedom. sorta

I don't support him. He has lied to us and knowingly relayed info that was not true. Every day he is on TV telling the American people that we are doing well in Iraq and we are not. He wants to stay the course because he is not leading the forces, his underlings are. If HE and his administration, and / or our representatives had to lead the way there would be NO WAR.

I know that some things are terrible in the world today and that Bush is not superman but here is why I still support him.
I am safe and so is my family
I am free to do what I want with my life in every way
I have a home, a job, food, medical care, utilities, comfort and all that I need
I am happy and healthy and would not ever think about going to another country
Now if you ask this of other countries, millions of people cannot say the same of the above answers. So I think we have it pretty good here and that we are very safe and secure compared to a lot of other people in this world.
And the military (I support them and love their courage) CHOOSE to join. They choose to take the consequence and are fighting for you to be able to sit at your computer tonight and write this.

Probably only those that cannot think for themselves. Those that are fooled by stupidity and cannot see what is really happening. Sorry this does not really answer your question, but I cannot believe there are people out there that would still support the madness that has been going on for so long now.

I stand by the president. The first reason his, he is my commander in chief. Secondly, anyone who is willing to stand up to the oppression of millions and defend liberty and freedom is a good guy to me. Third, his faith...enough said. Fourth, even though he is ridiculed and critisiced for his actions in Iraq, he stands by his descision(which was the right one). The arguement can be made that he is just stubborn. My response to that is, I would rather have someone who has a spine and takes responsiblity for his actions and stands by his first discission. George Bush has done everything in his power to do what is best for the country. God Bless America.
