I don't think anyone is ever going to find a mate that is exactly what you imagined. No one is perfect. My husband is physical what I always wanted. He is also a good provider, father, friend and lover. However he is not perfect, neither am I, but I love him dearly and would not trade him for the world.

I was 18 yrs old had no plans on getting married or even with finding a girlfriend all I wanted was a 77 stingray and was working hard at getting one. One day I walked passed a little place in the Concord mall and I saw her. I turned around walked passed again to look inside then the next time I went inside.
We got married a year later and it has been 22 yrs now it has work out good after we learned that it takes giving 110% from each of us and that we still need to date each other.
She is 6 months young than me. So no she was not what I had imagined her to be because I never imagine one before.
I still do not have my 77stingray but, I would not change a thing about my past. Nor would I give up what I have in her just to have a car.

Married someone different than myself and i am paying for it now. We do not see eye to eye on things and i thought that things might get better with time cause i knew in the beginning that we were so different. I have been married to him for 5 years and i have not had very much happiness since i married him. He is very smart and i think that will be our down fall cause he needs someone on the same lever as him. He is also somewhat quiet and i am not. He keeps things inside and i do not.

No, not really my 'type' at all. But, 4 1/2 years later we're still here. Not to say we haven't had our trials and tribulations, but that could have happened with anyone. Judging by the answers you are getting, there is no right or wrong, your type or not, it could work out or not. Who knows???

i was married for 6 years to a man that was exactly as i was... both equal in attractivness, personality, social skills, ect... like i said, i was married.. now i'm with my total oppsite and its great, we've been together now for 5 years. i can argue but he doesn't, i have a short fuse and he doesn't even have one.... get my point? i'm sure its not like that for everyone though....

Before marriage, I thought he was. Loving, caring, attentive. THEN.................... the real person emerged. Hostile, controlling, verbally abusive, manipulative. Breaks my heart. :(
