Jews. Palestinians. Israelis. Holocaust.Diary of Anne Frank. Hitler. Nazi Germany. concentration camps....and on and on and on and I am forever hearing about the Jewish people:
"Never Again",they say over and over again.
allright. So you don't want it to happen again. But I have enough problems of my own. I don't want it to happen again either, and I doubt it will. But I am tired of it. I am tired of everyday reminders.. Whites, Catholics, Blacks, Irish....have all had problems...
as have countless other groups. ALL underwent their own personal experiences of the "Holocaust"
Soon I'll be immune to any talk of the Holocaust.

I understand what you mean. History is important so as not to repeat the ills that have been done before however why beat a dead horse. It's part of history, we know it already. If someone needs reminding for a specific reason, in other words they forgot someone in particular was persecuted, okay remind them but let the bad times fade. If you do not want to be persecuted again, stop making it a way of shutting you up.

Yes, I am tired of hearing about it too. I seem to hear about it at least once a week. Perhaps that's why some people claim that it never happened. They just got sick of hearing about it and decide to strike back.
But I think it is a small price to pay to remind people to behave, so as to not repeat the horrible past. It is a story of Jews and the Nazis, but the lesson of Holocaust applies to every race and religious affiliation.
What's sad is that it is still happening around the world today, especially in Africa. But we don't stop it. Are we helpless or just apathetic like before?

As long as youre alive youre going to hear about SOMETHING you dont want to hear. September 11th, segregation, slavery, hurricane katrina, etc. Things including the Holocaust will effect people for the rest of their lives so thoerefore you and i will have to hear about it for the rest of our lives. i am a 23 year old black female and racism stemming from the past truly does affect my life today, so therefore people are still going to remember and talk about it. Plus, I hardly ever hear anything about the Halocaust anymore.

I don't think that anything can really compare when you consider the extent to which it went. Your comment is very insensitive. Your personal problems pale in comparison, but you are too wrapped up in your own little world to think of others feelings. I'm not Jewish either, but it still affects me. You need to go visit one of the concentration camps, see if you still feel the same way after that. A visit to Dachau was an extremely sobering experience for me. You don't forget a visit like that. Please educate yourself before deciding what you want to "hear" about anymore.

Why do you even pay attention to it? Just ignore it if you want to. There is not use getting mad about it. It is a huge part of history. Yes, every race has had their problems. Does this mean that noone should be allowed to talk about it?

Yes, the blacks and others have been treated very badly. But no one tried to wipe them all from the face of the earth. Only the Jews were treated that way. I can't believe that you can compare your problems in any way to what the Holocaust victims went through. Obviously you haven't heard enough about it.

When the day comes that you become immune to the memory of the holocaust, Hitler, slavery, etc., where one group overpowers another, on that day, will begin a new era of the entire matter of violent class/group extinction being repeated.

NEVER FORGET...

If we forget, history is doomed to repeat itself.
