I haven't been in Slovakia, but every country have something interesting.
I would like to visit Slovakia.

Whatever...Slovakia is beautiful,there is lot more to see than just Tatras,Bratislava and "few villages". The food is great,people are nice...You`d enjoy it.And plus you can always travel over the weekends or whenever you off to other places in Europe.It`s quite convenient.

yeah, czech is better, but slovakia aint bad either, but 10 months its too much.
you can make it in 2 weeks (tatry mountains, bratislava, few old villages and thats it)

i recommend czech ,it is more beatiful country,but also slovakia has diffrent culture ,also pepole are nice there
