I have artificial nails now but when I use to have long nails of my own I buffed them with a buffer. It works every time. Use a soft buffer for nails and buff each nail until you can feel the warmth on the top of the nail. Buffing creme helps too. Not only did they grow fast but they were always smooth and shinny with that buffed look.
