No. Nail polish is made from acetone and therefore will not dissolve automotive paint. You will need to determine what kind of paint it is and buy the appropriate thinner. Automotive paint is usually an enamel or acrylic so a thinner of those types will do the trick.

Say, are you looking to mar someone's paint job by any chance? If so, use brake fluid. That'll eat through anything.
