I am not against gay people, but just want to know. I can tell a gay person from the outside: they have a Louis Vouton bag, dress in kind of a way that a straight person wouldent, have a pertner, etc.

I don't know any, but I have seen some downtown that talk like that, and I have seen some that don't.

They are attention whores they are starved for attention just as Goth kids are trying to be different and the center of attention also the shock value noticed in the stores they are so much louder than real people gays not Goth but same principle of being noticed with the shock value of there absurd ways they should all move to one gay community and see how they act amongst themselves I personally don't want to notice or have to notice them.

ANYONE can have a high pitched fem voice and NOT be gay... But I think it can be related to the social culture and how each group communicates with one another... This I don't know for sure, but it could be a reason.
Like slang... and the such... social groups tend to follow one another..
But honestly, it's such a generality that not one person can really say for sure.
Most gay men that I know, don't talk like that.

Some of them may tend to have that higher pitched feminine voice due to the fact that they have more female hormones in their system. Just as some straight guys can have more female hormones and thus are more "feminine". More often then not though (at least by my observations) its near impossible to tell a gay guy from a straight guy from any outward appearances (voice, mannerisms, appearance, etc)

Ok little boy. I am 6ft, 220 Lbs of solid muscle, I box, play rugby, and ride a '47 Indian. I can assure you, nobody assumes I'm gay.
You say you're not against gay people, then proceed to spout every stereotype going. Man, you've got some honesty issues kiddo. Don't malign us then say, but I really don't hate you. Contrary to what you might think, we're NOT stupid. Unlike you, we CAN see the bigot from a mile away.

Know what u mean - and i'm gay. I can't stand the queeny high pitch camp life of many gay guys, but for some reason that is what they associate with the meaning of 'gay'. I prefer men to be men and that's about it. I'm even sick of the term 'gay'. I just fancy other blokes!!!

I have a feminine voice, my dear, because I am a Lady. The fact that I happen to sing contralto has nothing to do with the fact that I'm also a Lesbian; just as a gay man who happens to sing soprano has nothing to do with his being Gay. You know you're being naughty, so just stop.

I think they make themselves sound like that. Not all gay people have the high-pitched voice of course, but the ones who choose to use the high pitched voice are flamboyant. They are the ones who want the world to hear... "I am impersonating a woman! Hear me roar!"

Because your gay dar sucks and you are seeing only the obvious ones, no offense. I don't talk like a girl. I am 6'3 250 and rattle windows when I talk. Most my gay friends are big as me if not bigger. We are professionals and we are proud to be men.

There are numerous answers. They could have higher voices becuase they have vocal chordes that are smaller or tighter than the "average" guy (which can be caused by hormones and/or genetics) or becuase they choose to speak in that tone. There is nothing wrong with it. I know many guys that speak that way, two of which told me that they choose to speak like that and three of which say that they just talk like that. I wouldn't let it bother you.

Hmm, I don't recall that about Rock Hudson. You think his voice was high-pitched and feminine?
