one of the best that I have found is called "Back to Eden"
you can find it at your local book store or they will be happy to order it for you.The book has just about everything you want to know from growing your own herbs, to how to make teas, and such, complete plant I.D. very good book for anyone into alternative health.

Prescription for Nutritional Healing, Second Edition By James F. Balch, M.D., and Phylis Balch, C.N.C. I have been using this for years for myself and my family. It covers everything from A-Z and is very easy to use. This book is sold at most vitamin/nutrition stores and at Barnes and Noble.
