Epistemology is well worth the time and effort required. Too bad it's not taught in high school. It's also fun to see how epistemology has changed over the last 40 to 50 years, after having been constant for many centuries. This is not a dead or dying subject. ;-)

I thought it was interesting. We used Kant's Prolegomena as our main text. My instructor primarily focused on contemporary presuppositions governed by positivistic notions and Kant's distinction between noumena/phenomena as well as sensory intuitions and the pure concepts of time and space. I also learned that the prevailing definition of knowledge is justified true belief. All in all, I enjoyed the class.

opinion??
how does one have an opinion about knowledge?

quasi mathematical in its assumptions and implications; expansive, in that it forces you to reevaluate some preconceived notions of "truth", "knowledge" "intuitively obvious"

epistemology is one of the "classic" concerns of any philosophy...an essential part..
I "enjoyed" it; it provided a backbone for understanding the other aspects of a philosophy...
