Brian Vickers should have not won that race!!!! JR was told about bump drafting but no one said a damn word about this pantywaste. Him and Johnson did that little piece of work on purpose just to keep JR from winning. Then to get on national television with that smirk on his face and never say one friggin word about being sorry for what he did was absolutely the most disgraceful act I have ever seen. NASCAR officials are going to hear alot about this race thats for sure. I do admire JR for how he handled himself though. If that had been ****** or Stewart they would still be crying!!!!! I wish Michael Waltrip would just get out of racing and let JR get a real team mate who could help him out the way those two morons (Vickers & Johnson) do. JR had that race won and everyone knows it. How convienent that Vickers just happened to bump Johnson into JR. Planned is what it was!!!! I hope and pray that JR gets his revenge and puts Vickers into the wall next week.

First off, anybody upset about the Vickers incident needs to get over it. It's a racing deal, and anyone who wants to say any different has their head where the sun doesn't shine.
Second, if any of the "popular" drivers had done it, or your driver, then you'd defend him the same way no one seems to be willing to defend VIckers here...until me, that is.
Third, look at the type of racing. This kind of mistake is what would normally trigger "The Big One". Yet I don't see anyone screaming about firing whoever caused "The Big One" today.
Now, my stepdad has meet Brian Vickers a few times, and Brian is a nice kid, a quiet kid, and a polite kid. He and his family has worked very hard so that he can get where he is today. His first Busch team was one his family and him had. He was noticed by Ricky Hendrick and got to race in the #5 Busch car, winning the title in 2003.
One thing I have noticed, however, is that somehow Johnson is a good guy in Hendrick just because of Jeff Gordon. Don't forget, JJ had done nothing spectacular in Busch while driving a car that a less talented driver (Todd Bodine) had some moderate success in. Vickers won Hendrick a Busch title. It seemed that Ricky was the only one in the organization who believed in Brian. When Brian had a better opportunity, he took it, and who could blame him? It wasn't intentional, as something like taking out a teammate and the leader in one fell swoop is not exactly something you could plan. So this being upset at a kid who is on the outs with his team, has nothing to race for this season but a win, is misplacing your anger. I personally wish it didn't come down to it, but if you notice, Vickers was being held up by both Johnson and Jr, so why aren't they taking heat for being in the way?
I'm glad Vickers is going to Toyota Red Bull next season, where he will make his former Hendrick teammates look dumb. I don't doubt Vickers will be in the Chase next season, given equipment that is as good as the top drivers in the series. He's exactly a case like Kevin Harvick has been the past few years - low finishes due to sorry equipment. Red Bull doesn't let that happen in their racing program, so he will be good next year.

yea, pretty upset abut it,but what can i do
the funny thing is that vickers got into johnson before he even attempted the pass
then when he did try to pass vickers hit him again this time into junior
if that would not have happened junior would have finished 3rd anyway
vickers is a piece of crap and i truly believe he better watch out for johnson later on
people say take points from vickers for that.why?he is nobody anyway and he is not in the top 10 wont do any good to take points

Very upset. I was PO. He should not have been awarded the win. Not 10 laps before the crash, JR was warned about bump-drafting. Nothing was said to ANYONE else. He always comes out on the losing end.
What makes me more upset is that Vickers is not even in the race for the Cup.
I have a lot of respect for JR though, he kept his cool.

I'm ticked off that he had the nerve to blame Dale Jr for the wreck. That was not Jr's fault. IMO, Vickers owes Jr an apology for having the nerve to get on national tv with the most stupid smirk on his face and blame Jr for what happened.
Nobody told Vickers to drive like a dummy...that was all his fault.

Vickers being the lame duck that he is over at Hendrick and all the crap they have done to him I think its Karma biting them in the butt. If he had wrecked two drivers not in the chase to win, who would care? Nobody. Get off it Vickers got his first victory and its not like they can kick him out of team meetings or anything sice they already did that. Nascar did the right thing and have kept the same line they have all season, gordon won a race by wrecking someone earlier didnt he. So get over it I just hope no driver in the chase wins another race.

This idiots answer above me should not even count. When BIG E did it , it was not illegal - now it is ! Jr handled it like a Pro ; Johnson is probably crying on Gordon's shoulder right now. Either way Vickers is out of the loop anyway in 6 more races, so why should he care who he wrecks. He doesen't have any teammates now.

I can't decide. In one respect I think the win should have gone to Jr. (I'm NOT a fan) but then there have been a lot of decisions the officials make that I disagree with so maybe this isn't any different. We just have to accept their decision. If they get into that kind of stuff they will spend the whole race trying to reposition cars from unfair wrecks and other issues like debris on the track.. Should they have given Jeff his spot back from his wreck? Sometimes that's how it goes, I guess.

I'd imagine that Junior might be. Or Jimmie...
Something for Junior fans to think about - with the speed that Jimmie had going for him, if they HADN'T have been spun out, do you really think that Junior (who had already missed the block attempt) could have beaten the Johnson/Vickers push? Personally, I don't. I think Junior was set for a third place finish maybe second if Vickers fell off the train), but I don't think he would have been able to win it, regardless of Vickers' stupidity.
