What? The whole debt is the responsibility of the Republican Party. The Conservatives are the ones that stopped doing business as they suggested, pay-as-you-go! Under that system ironically, Clinton as a President paid the dept as he took the Country from yearly deciects to yearly positive tax reciepts. When Bush Jr took over he and the Republican Congress turned the annual budget into the red every year sense Bush started mismanaging the Federal Government. How dare you ask that Question, the Conservative should be paying the national debt out of their own pockets because it was their policies that did not pay the debt in the first place.
The Republicans would love to cover that up like they are trying to cover up the Foley folly. Get a life girls.

The people who want to limit the size of government and spending! Republicans!
The only spending they want to reduce is on the poor, elderly, children and disabled!
Since 1946 the Democratic Presidents increased the national debt an average of only 3.7% per year when they were in office. The Republican Presidents stay at an average increase of 9.3% per year. Over the last 59 years Republican Presidents have out borrowed Democratic Presidents by almost a three to one ratio. That is, for every dollar a Democratic President has raised the national debt in the past 59 years Republican Presidents have raised the debt by $2.87.

Since Congress "holds the purse strings" they have allocated all that money. Congress involves both parties. so considering carefully have to say they are equally responsible.

no longer a political junkie, yet i understand that your math is strictly why the nationwide debt is so huge. in case you probably did not base it antagonistic to the gross nationwide product that's undeniable previous mathematics. The nationwide debt has lengthy gone up after each and every between the Presidents you suggested as well to bill Clinton. The shame is why we the voter keep balloting in those those who insist they're balancing (cooking) the books in preserving with perceived deficits, surplus spending and the concept you could spend all you want so long because the money will be there in the destiny. Which through ways is why we must have recessions, the reality will finally capture up idea. in the right that's the voters fault for trusting ego pushed, career minded wall plants that in elementary words have allegiance to their party and their destiny. even as they marketing campaign to be our servants they develop into our masters once elected. answer this one question (for your self) and that i visit believe we understand a similar fee: Why would not China and Japan owe us? both were third international international locations throughout our perfect monetary develop(s). And in simple terms so that you understand; that is in simple terms my opinion:)

Well, to my surprise, the Republicans managed to run up debt faster than I thought possible. Turns out they can even make debt better than the Democrats. By the way, the Dems have been wimps while this took place.

Let's look at history. Republicans are known as "war hawks", meaning they are pro-war and usually when there is a Republican in office, isn't it interesting how a war may start?
I would say the Republicans cause this country billions in debt related to war. Good reason to vote for another party next election.

They both do. Congress and the Senate are made up of folks from both sides and they are writing checks like there is no tomorrow.
We need to make these folks state employees and do away with Federal Employee status for them. No more wage increases for themselves. Nope, they get paid by the state they represent and if you are representative from Montana, well you might not make as much as the rep. from California and so on and so on.
This might make these folks just a little bit more concerned about the people and states they actually represent.
