If its a "Vega" and not a Viper,the noise is normal,its an indication thats its unreliable,under-engineered,and underpowered.
"Dura Built 2300" my foot.....just a useless bunch of aluminum put together with total disregard for longevity.

the only thing that i know that makes that noise is a viper car alarm if that is your problem ? your alarm lost ground check the black wire it needs to be ground

i didn't know Chevy had a viper i thought that was a dodge
