I'm wrapping up my sais with leather and around the prongs too and I need to find a good glue that lasts for forever.

A home improvement store or the hardware department of a big discount store should carry some of the Goop glues (Amazing Goop, Shoe Goo, Household Goop, etc.) Any of those should work fine. Read the packaging carefully, these need to be used only as directed. This stuff sticks to anything and stays very slightly flexible; it doesn't go brittle like super glues can.

Have to agree: contact cement! However, I would use a water based contact cement. It will take a little longer to get "tacky" when applied (up to 30 minutes!), but it can be used indoors with minimal ventilation, and can be reactivated (if it gets too dry before you apply the leather to the metal) by adding a light coat of water and allowing it to get tacky again!

GOOP

Goop is the best glue anywhere. It's available at Home Depot and places like that. It goes on clear, dries clear, lasts FOREVER, and bonds ANYTHING very strongly. I use it all the time. It's great stuff.

Contact Cement. In a can.

Brush both surfaces and allow to dry to a sticky state. When you put them together, be certain it's positioned right. You cannot move it.

Will not adhere if wet.

Gorilla Glue... Probably the best thing to use...

Two part epoxy. As long as both of your surfaces are clean, it will never come loose.
