No you are probably allergic to the nickel that what used in the buckle. My daughter went trough the same thing she even started having reactions to certain jewelry and the buttons on her pants. Use a clear finger nail polish and go over the buckle many many times this do this every once in awhile to make sure it does not wear off.

To treat your reaction place a hot damp towel on the area and then put a good hydrocortizone cream on it.

I feel for you!!

Paint the back of the buckle with clear finger-nail polish. That will put a barrier between you and the metal. You will probably have to re-paint the buckle every couple of weeks, or whenever you notice the break-outs again.

Its good to know I'm not the only one in the world thats got a metal/nickel allergy. I have to wear special earrings, rings and necklaces. I had so much trouble trying to keep my ears peirced as a child because of the metal earrings. I had to wear plastic earings. My suggestion is put clear nail polish on the belt buckle. Good luck.

Try some Benadryl. Looks like you have contact dermatitis from metal. In the future, coat the buckle with a few coats of clear nail polish to prevent it from irritating your skin any further.

Spray paint it with a clear acrylic, if the buckle is small enough you can use clear nail polish.
