It is obvious that the spoiled rich kids can not play together in the spotlight--is it part of the arrogant personality of NYC that causes this to happen?

OK, you ask a legitimate question, to which the answer is "No", but then you have to make a comment about New Yorkers being arrogant. Yes, the Yankees do have a lot of great players, but not a great "team" and most Yankee fans will agree with that. But did you have to add the arrogant comment? Is that opinion based on the fact that you apparently don't like Yankee fans, or do you just not like New York because it's a large city?

Second, how would "the arrogant personality of NYC", "cause this to happen"? What did the arrogant personality of NY cause? To me, what started out as a good question got lost in your ill-informed and erroneous opinion. To me, it looks like you don't like the Yankees or New York and looked for a way to get them both in the same question, and it doesn't fit or make much sense.

C'mon kids, lets be fair here and not generalize everyone in New York City. If you've spent any time at all in New York, you would know that the people are really quite down to earth, speak their minds and they are not phony. They are too busy to be worried about what their neighbors are doing and sweating the little stuff. They are for the most part, hard working people living in a big city that has been brought closer together by tragedy. If you live within 3 blocks of a Waffle House, does that make you a rebel red necked hillbilly with an out house for a potty?
That's the only part I choose to comment on as the question is actually pretty stupid. The Yankees ARE a team, and the fans of the Yankees, well, they would be the fans of the team, Yankees. Big Duh for you.

Arrogant is a pretty tough word to lay on anyone and most likely because NYC is so large I'm sure there are pretty many arrogant people. Probably more than any other since it is so large. So again the many get punished because of the few. Pretty much universal isn't it. Lets just start and end it with the owner. A man so arrogant he constantly thinks he can buy championships, even after that doesn't work he blames it on the coach who is more like a babysitter to all the one man bands on the so called team. Each of which think they are the best.

You think that's bad, try and live in NYC with all of those come lately Yankee fans. I've been one since 1966 and suffered through some awful seasons especially during the late 60s and early 70s. Then again in the 80s. Suddenly in the 90s and 00s, everywhere I turn I see Yankee fans. I've sure after the lost to Detroit, I'll be seeing a lot less Yankee caps. Good riddance.

Yeah, look at the A's. One quarter the payroll and they're moving on. NY has been our nemesis, so I find myself torn. On the one hand, I wish we could be the ones to boot their butts, and on the other hand, it's so funny to see the NY Mercenaries find out that there's more to playing a team sport than individual statistics.

And now they're gonna fire Torre??? NYY fans and management are definitely the most arrogant morons ever to go near a baseball park.

The Team That Seinbrenner Bought! God I hate the Yankees. It's so good to see them fail. They are the reason a salary cap is needed in this game. Look who they have on the bench! Craig Wilson. . . He could start on any other team in the league. But they are able to buy anybody they want with no consiquences. . . .oh wait, that's right! They can't win in the post season now!

Do you mean because they call the team "Our Yankees" or "My Yankees" ? Every sports team has fans that refer to the team as"Ours" or "My". I'm from Chicago and I cheer for my Bears.

They got into the playoffs...again so obviously that means something. Money can't buy a spot like that, so money isn't an issue.
