Seriously. I'm a typical Floridian and I wear flip-flops everywhere and my feet are beginning to smell even though I wash them and such. Is there some sort of sollution or something I should soak them in? How can I get rid of the bad smell, because I refuse to stop wearing flip-flops or my flippys as I call them?

Soak your feet in scented soap water or, I know this sounds gross, use deodorant. If you're lucky you might be able to find sweetfeet powder, or ask your local drugstore if they have anything.

Good luck!!!

your flippies might have bacteria growing on them that causes the smell... you might wanna wash those too.

Also, that smell is usually a result of bacteria that grows becuase there is too much moisture that is not allowed to disapate (evaporate). You should get some flip flops that allow air to get between your feet and the sole of the flippies. I've seen some that have little groves, or those bumpy things, rather than a flat surface that your feet connect with.

Wash your feet in antibacterial soap. Wash your flippys or get some new ones. If the smell persists try an antifungal cream just in case you may have athelete's foot and not know it. get some deodorant spray (either the kind for feet or the kind for under your arms) and use it liberally. If the odor still persists consult your doctor. Good luck!!

Buy a pumice stone, foot scrub, and gold bond. Everytime you shower scrub your feet with the pumice stone and foot scrub. Then put gold bond on your feet right after you dry your feet. Also if you use the same flip flops daily, clean them with laundry detergent at least once a week to keep them fresh. And if that doesn't work, buy some anti-fungal cream.

Keep good hygiene of the feet. Never wear closed shoes without socks, Use socks with the material that can absorb moisture, Never wear socks again before washing them, Avoid soil in your shoes, Wash feet before putting on shoes. If you tried all this and it still persist use foot powder and if it fails see a doctor.

The guys on "The Myth Busters" did a test and showed that yes, soaking your feet in vodka helped make them smell better. I bet rubbing alcohol would work just as well. Makes sense: most of the bad smell comes from bacteria and other micro-cooties that alcohol kills.

you may need new flippys on a regular basis, smell them now!
the other options are that u need to do a liver detox
or u need to do a black/purple grape detox for 3 weeks
or u need zinc, like seaweed & pumpkin seeds
or barley grass, wheat grass & spirulina can help with body odor problems
a colonic would cleanout the bowels to help u smell sweet
yeast from beer n bread can give the body a yuko smell, avoid yeast and take olive leaf extract
with a lil investigative work on ur diet n body im sure u will narrow down the options to make urself smell sweet!!!

if you are washing your feet, then putting on dirty flip-flops, whats the point of washing? you are putting your feet right back into the same bacteria that is making your feet smell. you can try to put your shoes in a freezer baggie and put them into the freezer over night, it will kill the bacteria. that is what is making your feet smell, bacteria. you also may want to purchase new shoes!
