neutrinos are subatomic particles; I explain in the following
all matter is made of atoms
all atoms are made of three main particles, namely, protons, electrons and neutrons
as well as these particles that constitute the atom, newly discovered "not exactly new but relatively speaking and comparing it with the discovery of neutrons ...etc" smaller in size are subatomic particles amongst which are neutrinos.
other similarly sized ones are positrons and negatons
