San Diego has A LOT to offer, but it depends on what you want to do. There are the obvious (Lego Land, Balboa, The Zoo). Without knowing what your interests are, one of the Best things that I think you should do, at least one night while your there is visit the Gaslamp Quarters (Downtown, Near PetCo SD Padre's Baseball Park). I see it as Universal. Weather your into people watching or Salsa dancing, you will definitely find something that suites your taste. If you do make it down there, catch a cab. Parking is Hellish, and lots are expensive!
I will also suggest visiting La Jolla (Prospect St., in particular). San Diego in know for beautiful weather, year round. Prospect St. is really close to the beach (One of the most beautiful beaches in San Diego), restaurants, and tons shops. Even if you have to throw on a sweater, visit the beach.
Hope that helped, but more importantly, have fun in San Diego!!!!

You have plenty of time...get a copy of WHERE magazine. This is what I do. They have magazines in most major cities! There is a WHERE in San Diego. This mag will tell you the best current things to do in a city...dining, theater, attractions, shopping, outdoor activities, festivals, museums, etc. It also has great maps and reviews on hundreds of restraunts! It's FREE! And everything in it is current...no OLD news. All show dates are right on! Have a great time in SD!

Go to the S.D. Zoo, one of the best in the world. Go to Sea World, great place. Hike, beach walk, museums (there a quite a few there), see the harbors and take a harbor cruise.
