I have a domain name from a particular website provider but I do not like the website they are offering me. Can I still use that domain name and go w/ a different website provider?

Sure it happens all the time. In fact if you do a business web site and your business grows very successfully you might need to have it redesigned by someone who can handle the more complicated issues of large commercial sites.

It depends on the contract you have arranged. In most cases you can however. Check with your domain provider. If the domain provider is not the same as the website provider then you should contact your website provider instead.
