i ask earlier about how to replace my ss card online for free instead of goin to the office,i went on some sites for free but it still saying wat the cost is,so i just want to go on a site that is really free

You can replace it for free, either through the website or by going to the office. I've had to replace mine numerous times. I have attached the official Social Security website where you can get the form, but you do have to mail it in or take it to your local office. There is also a link to the local office locator. Please, before entering any information, open a new browser, go to SocialSecurity.gov (not.com), and attempt on your own. This will ensure that you aren't on some scammers website (not that I'd ever do that to someone)

It does not cost anything to get a social security card or to replace or change your name on your social security card. But in todays world, you may have to goto the social security office so they can prove who you are. If anyone tells you it cost to get your new card, they are not straight up and are trying to scam you out of money and your number. the number is below along with the web address.

go to the office and get one It is free I know because two months ago I lost mine and got a new one at no charge

The actual card they give you is less than worthless.
It in not accepted anywhere as proof of identity or even as proof of your SS #.
In fact, anyone who has a SS card should memorize the # and destroy the card. It is only of value to someone interested in identity theft.
