on extreme home makeover he looks like he has hearing aids in both ears.

No. He wears earplugs due to the construction noises on the show. He has ADHD & that's why he's so hyper active, running all over the show, being a royal pain, etc.

You know, gizmo said that he heard that Ty had ADHD and I can see why....very hyperactive and he is all over the place.
Anyway, I think he wears those plugs in his ears for these reasons: the sounds of the tools, to hear what the family has to say. To hear himself. because maybe he is deaf. All of the above. Maybe one of these things is the reason why he wears them.

I don't think those are hearing aids, I am pretty sure they are earplugs because he is a builder and it gets pretty loud when you build stuff.

I don't know... but I do know that he has ADHD (he was talking about that on something I was watching before)
