The social forces that are in play today are determined by finances. Poverty as a social force is so detrimental that it impedes the ability of a person to be responsible and in control of their own lives. When people are frustrated they take that frustration out on others by taking their possessions, their lives or both. This is not to advocate that people do that, but to understand how the forces along with bad choices breed the consequences of crime.

I agree that a person is more likely to commit crime if they are brought up without guidance and morals. The problem is something that we see time and time again in our inner-cities, and this is not a racist statement, it is a matter of DOJ statistics. And it's not poverty. In the 40's and 50's inner city black families were just as poor, but were not as responsible for as much crime as today. the main difference between now and then is the absence of the father or a strong role model for inner city children. You dont have to have a lot of money to be a good person, and not having money will not make a person do bad things.
