Yes they will. They are just as afraid of things as people are of them. They bite if they are cornered, scared or stepped on. They try to get away but if they can't they will bite. I tan rattlesnake hides but I don't hunt the snakes. People bring them to me when they kill them because they are after the chickens or caught in a fence or trying to eat their birds. I make hatbands and jewelry and hair barrettes and stuff out of the hides and bones.

Yes, rattlesnakes only see heat and if there see the heat from the horses body getting to close they'll strike at it cause they feel threatened.

A rattle snake will bit anything or anyone that gets too close to them. a rattle snakes first response is to sit still and hope you don't notice them. 2)If you do, they have two options that they will usually use, run or rattle. if they rattle this usually means that they're coiled and you can rest assure that they will strike at you if you make them. If a rattle snake is running away from you and still thinks your too close, he;ll turn and strike at you as well. The rattling of a snake will scare the baageeja belt out of a horse and if he throws you, it just might be on top of that snake so be care full!

Rattle snakes will bite anything that they feel is threatening. Even if the threat was accidental, like not watching where one is stepping. A horse might very well not see what it's stepping on.

Yes, they will give warning, just like any other time that they strike. But if anything gets too close, the rattler will strike.
