as I matured I was able to control my emotions. Now I'm at a point where my values govern my emotions for the most part.

It used to be my emotions, which was a BAD thing. I worked on principle for quite some time. You generally make enemies that way. After good books and excellent therapy, I have discovered the true me who works on values rather than emotions. Values can be supported by other people in specific situations, where emotions are just raw feelings that can be incorrect because they are quick. So, I work on values, just to answer the question. Great question, by the way. It is nice to truly reflect on yourself every now and again!

Wow that's a tough one. Uh... neither?! lol=P
Frankly, I've the least control over my emotions as I'm my own worse critic and I know I don't enjoy listening to negative comments that beat me down constantly.
As for values... they kind of go hand in hand sometimes for me. But I do feel I'm a bit too much of an idealist, perhaps.
Whenever it rains, I always know that it'll pass and the sun will come out again --> hopeful that's me=)
