Columbus Day is a Federal Holiday. Most banks are closed as are many city, county and federal offices. No mail will be delivered.

I live in N.E. Ohio. Many of the schools will be open. I work. There will be a parade (I think) in downtown Cleveland, Oh.

For most of us, (including me) it's a regular working day.

It's a federal holiday, but most people still have to work and go to school. When I was in elementary school, we got the day off, but now I have to go to school. Blah.

I don't understand why we celebrate the holiday of a man who discovered the Carribeans Islands!

Should we be celebrating Amerigo day! Amerigo found Florida!
