i'm trying to find the name of a strange plant with thorns on it's leafs both above and on bottom, of veins

this plant is low to the ground, like a leaf lettuce, the thorns are purple in color and a center of seeding flowers. if you can name this plant, please send a picture as well , or multiple choices so i can choose the best represented choice thank you
