Yes alot of them have so they turned to comedy to atleast vent or laugh about their experiences. I guess I read about a comeidan that it was a form of therapy for him. I found that interesting.

a lot of them have had a rough life, but so have tons of people. comics get their material from any and everywhere. tv, life, friends, internet, news......
