If we can all understand what is really going on or why others believe what they believe, is that not the first step to solving issues?

Education is the only answer, however, demagogues don't like to have the masses educated because then they ask too many questions and want to change things so that there is more justice for everyone.
It's harder to pull the wool over the eyes of educated people. Case in point, the argument between cons and libs; who says the stupidest things?

Yes to some extent but I think anyone can help change the world... starting in the own community... if each community on this earth had 50 people interested and motivated. And I don;t think an education is the key... I think people that know how to love and care for other unconditionally can be leaderson a small scale and that is where change needs to start at home and in our neighbor hoods... Yeah we can let our leaders of nations take charge with a nonth grade education... but we need to give credit to things that have been achieved by our simpler people... I think I got my point across... "change needs to start on a smaller scale"

All depends on what and how they are educated. If everyone becomes politicianc then I believe we are doomed but if everyone was taught science then we would be better off for a time being. Then we would need some one to do the simple jobs for us like making clothes in a plant or feed us at burger king. We would have to resort to slaves of some sort. It may not be human slaves but imagine implanting apes with procesors in their brains so they could do basic jobs or even dead bodies being turned into cyborgs. I can see a end of the world of Planet of the Apes, Night of the Living dead, or the matrix right off the bat. What it all ammounts to is human nature will always destroy.

I think the FIRST step to solving issues is making sure everyone is fed EVERY DAY!!! At least once, more if possible, and they need clean drinking water available to them without risk of danger while they get it.
Start there and then once everyone is settled and full we can start teaching a little love and understanding.

Education at what? Business degrees? Medicine? Art and/or music?

The problem is, who's doing the educating? Who's going to be the one to "inform?" Do you know? Do you know who knows? Who's going to be the one or ones who decides who's fit to teach?

Who would be arrogant enough to believe that they have it all right and know how to teach "the truth"?

Yes, that's why the school system continues to decline despite all the money spent on it.

It is also what enables radical Islamists to so coercively control their women and their population.
