Nope, absolutely not the best. Ipod doesn't have the best audio quality. Ipod's battery life is not very special, compared to many other mp3 players. Ipod doesn't have the best physical shape (the Video is too big, the Nano is slim but also too long). The Ipod Shuffle doesn't have a screen (real pain, I tell you). The Ipod Nano doesn't have special features (FM radio, voice recording) that many ppl love. Ipods are cool. The best, no way. There's always a better mp3 player, no matter wat taste you are.
Bloody competitors of Ipod Nano:
- ZenV(plus)
- Iriver Clix
Worthy Competitors of Ipod Video:
- Zen VisionM
- Toshiba Gigabeat
There's always a better one, always if you seek for it

And so the iPod war rages on... I agree with the 1st answer. iPod's are overrated and over priced. Since $$$ isnt a major factor, the Zen Vision is an awesome choice. Great Vid quality, features are extensive, very easy to manuever thru the catagories and subs, light-weight, and the company is a breeze to work with for tech help. they only come in 30gig thou.
It'll also hold mp3 files(music) and pix galor. if you take tons of photos and want them with you quickly, theres a slot on the side where you can put your digital camera's memory card into it and upload your pix without a computer. it rocks.
beautiful screen. its the new OLED (Organic LED lights --??--)
TV abilites.. you can hook up the VISION to a TV and look at slideshows and watch movies too.
p.s. although the $$ may be a little high, its definetly worth every penny!

Absolutely not. iPods are way overpriced. Other mp3 players could do the same things that iPods can do for cheaper. They also have more features and come w/ accesories so that you don't have to pay another 20 bucks for a rubber case. Sansa and Creative make the best ones. Both have radios and can play WMAs(half the size of mp3s). iPods can't because if they added those features they would make less money when you're listening to music that you didn't buy from them.

Nice try chris. Read the Cnet review and decide for yourself. It won their September 2006 editors choice award.
