I got my ears pierced back in the begging of May. The left one went well but the right one has been nothing but a headache. If I leave it without anything in it, it will grow up and get crusty over night. Also, the back will close up. My left one is perfect it doesn't dp that. I have had to re-puncture the back side of the right one before more than once. Is there anything that I can do to make this happen less or stop all together?? I left both in and rotated them for 6 weeks like my gf told me to. She said she thinks it is because the lady didn't get the piercing itself straight and that it is crooked and that this is why. The lady was right handed and reached across me whenever she did my right ear. (She was facing me).

It doesn't sound like you're allergic to the stud since the other ear took it well, also it may be crooked like you said. Leave it in, use hydrogen peroxide on it at least three times a day. When you take it out, only do it to clean to stud and put it back on. If you leave it off when it's irritated of course it's going to close back up. So, stick to studs, not those long earrings, (it'll irritate it more) until at least six months to a year.

Try leaving your earrings in for awhile, even overnight, and use the peroxide stuff (that you got when you got your ears pierced) two or three times a day. Maybe it's crusting because it's irritated, and it's irritated because you keep poking it through, creating a viscious cycle. Let your ear rest by keeping earrings in and cleaning your ear for awhile, then try again. My daughter got hers pierced in June, and the paper we got said that, even though she could change earrings after 6 weeks, she should keep earrings in constantly for 6 months. She does go a day without earrings for gym class, but wears something in at all other times.
Good luck!

I thought everyone's lobes close up because it is actually an injury that continually tries to heal. Both mine do that and so does everyone elses that I've talked to about it. I think the only solution is to keep small studs in at night or give up and let them heal.

This is your body trying to tell you that you don't need another hole in your head.
