Posed by my girl freind as she was looking at all the time nd effort I put in to and got a measly 212 points to show for all my efforts and also wondering about those people with 5000+ points.. She is worried that maybe they should be fixing the toilet or something.

Well, let's see...what did I do today...took the family up to Skiatook, OK this AM to ride our bikes on the Osage Prairie Trail. Fantastic trail by the way. Highly recommend it next time you and your bike are in Skiatook.

Then did a little grocery shop for the family. Oh then we set up our Fall and Halloween decorations out front. And yes I watched my beloved Cowboys hand the game to the Eagles....ugh!!!

And here I am answering questions on Yahoo and watching some more football and trying to decide if I'll work on my work project or not....probably not.

Oh and toilets are working fine around here...based on my most recent 100% inspection!!

Now, were I in your position, I would let my girlfriend know how I could possibly be motivated to leave the computer for awhile.

Just a thought!

I enjoyed using my expertise in many fields to answer Peoples questions and help them to solve problems, until Yahoo started to propagandize the Q amd A, Now I am asking questions of my own. I don't think that we are wasting time, but I have been a Teacher for the past 40 Plus years and I have picked up a few pointers on the way. It is hard to stop teaching even if Yahoo did delete about almost ten of my answers, because they did not like the way I was blowing the whistle about that Commie organization that calls itself "Droping Knowledge". The truth hurts some times. Wasting time you say, maybe sometimes, but I started on July 25 and I have accumulated almost three thousand points to date.

You can get more points if you Research your answers and keep them short and to the point.

Good Luck to you. I am sure you are helping some one out there. You just helped me.

I don't have that many points, but my toilet isn't broken... MY problem is that I am addicted to answering questions. Completely. I go to my area of expertise, intending to get some questions to stump my classes with, and am appalled at the incorrect answers. Then I fear that someone will act on the incorrect answers, so I feel the need to correct ALL the wrong answers. Or at least the ones I know the answers to. I swear it's worse than cocaine... OK, so I don't actually know that, but I'm going to pretend.

Well people are often bored & stressed. Yahoo Answers is a way to relieve both of those. Also, you can learn a lot, and you can help answer people's questions they may have while getting your own questions answered. It's a great tool!
