Certainly. I'd ask the stranger to please send me a tow truck by calling on his cell phone if he had one, or stopping at the next pay phone and dialing 911 to report where I was stranded. I would roll the window down just enough to talk to the stranger offering to help, and I would not unlock the doors until a police car or tow truck showed up at my location.

The person may well be nice, but there are enough rotten people out there you have to be careful of. I would say that if the person offers help, I would ask him/her to find the nearest pay phone and call someone for you. I know it's a lot harder that way, but it's not worth taking a chance.
If you don't have a cell phone, do your best to get one and keep it charged. They are good to have in an emergency.

Before I do I would pray about it to give me some extra protection. If someone stops to help me out if I feel any sort of twing or feeling from my gut that isn't comfortable I wouldn't. If I wasn't alone during my time of trouble and a man stopped I wouldn't mind. These days you have to be careful of your surroundings. I know a little self defense and I make sure there is enough space between me and the person giving me help.

I would have a cell at all times. In this case, you would have to take some sort of a risk by asking a stranger. What other choice would you have?

No. I would ask that person to call the police for me(while my windows were still rolled up) except for a crack.....
That person would be understanding and call 911 immediately.
Within 5 minutes or so a police officer would be there..If not, then you know they did not call and to beware......Sit tight, Eventually someone will go by and do the right thing..............

You wouldn't have much option other than to accept help. The percentage of bad people out there is very small, and you'd have to be very unlucky to come across someone like that.

Well, YES, of course. Wouldn't you? I would much rather be assisted by a stranger than by a crooked cop. I hate God Damn Cops.

Hell yes! But I would pat my boot where I have my hunting knife just to reassure myself. :)
