Love is a choice. Love is choosing to accept someone else, flaws and all and responding in kindness when they fail. Love is gentle- not harsh, love does not hold grudges and is peaceable. On the other hand, love does not let someone continually hurt them without consequence, it lovingly teaches them to respect them.

Love is a profound feeling of tender affection for or intense attraction to another. It is considered a deep, ineffable feeling shared in passionate or intimate interpersonal relationships. However, in different contexts, the word love has a variety of related but distinct meanings: in addition to romantic love, which is characterized by a mix of emotional and sexual desire, other forms include Platonic love, religious love, familial love, and the more casual application of the term to anyone or anything that one considers strongly pleasurable, enjoyable, or desirable, including activities and foods. This diverse range of meanings in a single word is commonly contrasted with the plurality of Greek words for love, reflecting the word's versatility and complexity.
Although clearly and consistently defining love is a difficult task, and often a subject of much debate, different aspects of the word can be clarified by determining what isn't "love". As a general expression of positive sentiment (a stronger form of like), love is commonly contrasted with hate (or neutral apathy); as a less sexual and more "pure" form of romantic attachment, love is commonly contrasted with lust; and as an interpersonal relationship with romantic overtones, love is commonly contrasted with friendship, though other definitions of the word love may be applied to close friendships in certain contexts.

Love is patient, love is kind. Love is not jealous or boastful, it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrong; but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love is the essence of our being, our true self minus the ego. Love is what we are.

Love is when you tear your heart out of your chest & place it in someone's hands, watching it beating, vulnerable as a baby bird. Wanting them to care for it. Knowing they may crush it or drop it carelessly. That's the risk you take. Putting yourself & all your hopes & dreams in someone's hands. Trusting someone. Taking a chance. Risking it all. It's the scariest, most beautiful feeling in the world. You never felt more alive, never more vulnerable, never more raw, never more connected...but man, it's scary! What if they drop you? What if you fall?...

Love is a beautiful feeling. When you love someone you forget about your own existence and become one with that person. You keep on thinking about that person and forget your own self. This is called Advetavad in Sanskrit. It is one of the major streams of Hindu religion where it is considered that we human beings and God is one because we lose our self in Him.

The ego cogito (owing to the instability and ambiguity of noematic descriptions) inhibits acceptance of immanent time as existent by conscious conversion into the corresponding noetic acts.
