Because your losing your physical edge - get down the gym, smarten up and you'll find that your experience will keep you in good stead for a few decades yet.

Define "best"? Most energetic? Maybe... Best for learning new stuff? Perhaps, we do spend a lot of time in school up until our 20s. But what about other stuff? Most wise? Still to come. Best life experiences? No guarantees... what do you want out of life? What have you not done yet that you dream of doing? Make a plan and go do it. Carpe diem! Sure, you're not a 20something... and yeah, you're approaching 40... but life is by far NOT over. Time to learn a new skill, take up a hobby... try something your younger "cooler" self might not have been willing to try. Make new friends. Travel. If you feel stuck in a rut, make an effort to get yourself unstuck. We can feel that way at any age, and there are definitely ways others use to make us feel inadequate. The only person who matters in that regard is you. Make sure every year is a great year, and don't worry about which one was the "best". Live life to the fullest!
