Can one record radio broadcasts from the Web onto the computer? Like NPR?

Anything playing over the computer's speakers can be recorded, simply use a recorder (I use Adobe Audition, but any recording software will work) and set the input as your computer's "wave" output. (double click on the little speaker in the lower right of the taskbar on WinXP machines, click "options", then "properties", change the radio button to "recording" and check the box by the "wave" output). Then simply record and save as whatever file type you wish.

NPR provides their broadcasts on their website. You can listen eny time,(on demand playback).

only replied this approximately the thank you to checklist vinyl..... get lp recorder (on a mag conceal disk) then plug your radio into your soundcard and checklist the programe to a .wave report which would be burnt to a cd.
