Yes, a piece of cloth is just a piece of cloth. Regardless of which way the threads run or what color they are dyed.

Interesting question - but I don't see a dilemma here.
This is a case where the end would more than justify the means, and how perfectly ironic that the terrorists last vision would be a lethal flame shooting out from an American flag.

Why are all the terrorists assembled around the American flag?
How did such a stupid group of terrorists take over your town? Do you live in Crawford, Texas?
It sounds to me like you should turn the flame thrower on yourself. Give natural selection a little help.

Of course... it is so absolutely small-minded not to recognize that a piece of cloth is not a living creature.
Flag-burner protesters are ppl with small minds whom lack the ability to detach themselves from what others might believe.
Seriously, if someone says to me, 'You such so bad and I hate America." What should I do or feel? I should do nothing because that is only an opinion and I should feel what I CHOOSE to feel.
I can choose to let that person's statements mean nothing to me.
We, as Americans, seem to have lost sight of the old saying, 'sticks and stone may break my bones but words can never heart me.'
Just at destroying a flag hurts no one.

I'd burn the flag, hug the terrorists, borrow a gun and join in killing Americans with them.

Yes that's a no brain-er. I would be looking for revenge on the bastards who invaded us. After they were all dead I would make sure than none of the flag was left on the ground and scoop its ashes up. I would then bury the flag ashes and put a cross up to remember it. I would then take a big fat dump on the ashes of the enemies.

Yes I would. Burning the flag as you described would be necessary, burning the flag because some hippie feels it's part of free speech is stupid.

What a ridiculous question. If you want an authentic answer, you should be asking the inhabitants of Iraq, not the USA. They know first-hand what it is like to have a group of terrorists take over their land without having done anything to deserve it.
