Another dismal playoff performance. Guess he just can't take pressure situations.

Agree or disagree?

A-rod is a cocky overpaid jerk and every team he plays for falls apart. THeres a reason hes never been on a World Series Team.

He's a good hitter, but not a great one. He didn't show up in clutch situations during regular season, and has a poor average in postseason. Not to mention his defense woes.

It might not be that he can't handle pressure situations..... it's probably that he can't perform as great as his salary. \

Drastically lower his salary to normal territory... then maybe he won't get the everyday critcism (which is well-deserved)... then he might relax and play better.

I hate to say this as a Yankee fan but not only A-Rod choked but most of the freaking Yankees choked. I don't freaking understand it. They do well in the regular season but when it comes to post season they don't crap. Because of this Torre might be fired.

Agree. But it's not just him. Almost the entire team choked. As much as I dislike A-Rod, he doesn't need to be blamed for the entire team sucking. Sure he's a part of it, but not the whole problem.

Choke city for A-Rod. Overpaid and over-egoed. A big baby who only seems to be happy when HE accomplishes something. A team player...NOT!!

Disagree.
He's still got one of the best records in baseball. Maybe he doesn't do well in pressure situations, but he's got a lot of heart and loves the game.
When he gets thick-skinned and doesn't let the media run his career,
he'll be fine.
Until then ~
A-Rod ~ I still love you, baby!

He simply does not hit in the playoffs. His career playoff batting average is less than .100

You might as well leave him off the postseason roster, as he does more harm than good.

One great thing about baseball is that numbers don't lie. There is no excuse for a .071 batting average. None. Choking does not even cover it.
