I think Atalie is very unique, I like it alot. I also like Madilyn. It kinda depnends on the last name.

Of your choices, I would say Madilyn. Cassandra could be a nice middle name.
You can also consider...Kalen, Alyssa, Dana, Kerri
Please pick a name that will not label the baby in anyway. Think long term!

why not go different and combine a bit of both your names rather than have the child get a plain name use the first two of three letters of the moms name and the last letters of the fathers name

All pretty unique, but none of them appeal to me. But if you like it and the people who are going to love the baby like it then thats all that should count.
