Don't call your husband's commander for this issue. Commanders are extremely busy people and don't often have the time to deal with issues like this. You need to contact your husband's First Sergeant. It's the First Sergeant's job to handle any issues regarding financial irresponsibility and enlisted servicemembers. You can track down your husband's First Sergeant by calling the base operator.

Call information for Ft Leonard Wood and ask for the base operator, Once you get through if you don't know the name of the command your husband is in ask for the commanding officer of the base. Another route you may want to take is to contact DFAS (Defense Finance and Accounting Services). They are the ones who pay him and can garnish his wages. You can get that number through the same method as stated above. You will need his SSN number so I hope that you have that.

My son is stationed there right now. Go on line to the website for Fort Leonard Wood and you can follow the links to contact each of the units there. You will not be able to call him directly unless they have already supplied you with the phone numbers. You will be able to email them from the links. Good luck!

This is more a question for the 1st Sgt to handle and the Family Advocacy Office. The Officer who commands that unit would NOT normally be involved in these type of issues -- UNLESS some form of Violence is involved or dereliction of duty.

Are children involved?also do you have a court order or temporary orders for any type of support because without those his command cannot make him do anything they can suggest but at this point you can possibly get half of his BAH as support for the child or children if children are involved but if no children are involved without a court order he doesn't have to give you nothing so with that being said I'm hoping you have an order or written agreement for support before you make a fool out of yourself calling his command because they will look at you as a soon to be bitter ex wife.
