my parents said they will buy me a new game console for X-mas, but wont spend more than $200. what should i get? i was thinking a PS2 or an Xbox. is there anywere i can get an Xbox 360 new or used? what do you think of the PS3 and Nintendo Wii? i want something that will be optimized for racing games. $200 budget

PS3 will be way more than 200$ new or used it makes no difference. Xbox and PS2 will be in your price range. Nintendo Wii is based on virtual reality games where you actually simulate while you play and dont use a controller, thats also in your price range. I suggest if you can find one buy a USED xbox360 it has great car/racing games and great graphics.

To the first guy, yes look for a used PS3 even though they have not even been sold yet. The PS2 is better for racing mostly because of the games, Gran Turismo in particular, I would suggest you get a wheel with it. There is no way you are gonna get one of the new systems for $200, not for a year or two.

You should check out places like amazon for a used PS3, it would be my first choice. If you want it new i would go with a PS2, nintendo makes games that are too "cute" like for little kids. I have not used Xbox but most of my friends say PS is better.

I suggest a psp it is pretty cool and u can play games anywhere even during class like me! The only problem is there arent a huge selection of games such as the same with xbox360 and ps3 i got it and thought it was worth it and if you add 50 bucks to your parents money u can get a game a movie and a 1 gb bundle pack but the gaame is atv offroad its a racing game and they should buy u an extra game whats a system with only one game!

Well a PS2 is only $129.99, and Xbox is also $129.99.
A Ps3 is $599.99, a Wii is only $249.99, a Xbox 360 is only $399.99
You could always get a Gamecube $99.99
Or one of the handhelds DS Lite $129.99or PSP $199.99

The ps2 is a better system it have really good games and it is cheap. Its not as powerfull as other systems but its great games make up for it. Its a good choice
