I already speak the language, so I dont want to do one of those programs where you go for two weeks and learn how to say "ni hao". I want to go to a normal high school and study history, physics, chemistry, math, etc. I would need a hosty family for a year and stuff. Any suggestions?

China's High School is about three years, and teaching everything in Chinese, e.g. history, physics, etc. Basically everything, except ENGLISH. In Fuzhou of Fujian Province, there is a very famous school named 福建师大附中,
It provides hostel for students whose family are far away from the school. However, study is very stressful, cos i graduated from there.

ask your school counselor they work with exchange students all the time
