I just found out I'm pregnant...and my pregnant friend says she has heartburn all the time. Well I haven't had heartburn yet......do all pregnant women get heartburn?

Heartburn will happen. As your baby and uterus get larger your stomach is pushed up further giving your stomach less room. This gives heartburn because of stomach acid getting pushed up. Stock up on Tums and eat smaller, frequent meals rather than 3 normal meals. Best of luck!

No, some don't. They used to say heartburn was a sign the baby would have a lot of hair. I did not find that to be true. I think the baby pushes up and disturbs the stomach acids up and therefore it causes burning. Other times anything with tomatoes wil do it.

No, not all women get heartburn, but it's not uncommon. If you do start to get bad heartburn, my ob/gyn suggested that I take 1 or 2 Tums with calcium.; Give it a try, if it doesn't work, ask your doctor for another recommendation. Congratulations and good luck.

Not all woman have the same symptoms while pregnant. I did have heart burn all the time when I was pregnant(and my daughter was born bald). My sister on the other hand is pregnant with her 5th and hasnt had heartburn with any of hers.

Not all. Try to avoid acidy stuff. O.J, lemons etc. If you get heartburn near bedtime, try to sit up for awhile or sleep somewhat upright. Best advice is to see your Dr about this, and maybe get a support worker. They can answer most of your questions, especially better than on Y! Answers.

not all woman get it, and the whole head of hair thing is just a tale!!!! some woman nly get it in the end.... i had it really bad with my first son, it tured out because i was dehydrated and not drinking enough water. #2&3 still had heartburn but i have had it my whole life...but no not every pregnant woman gets it

no not all pregnant women gets heartburn but alot of pregnant women do and it is perfectly normal i have it most of the day if not all the time, try to avoid spicy foods, greasy food and i find apple juice is the worse.

no not all women get heartburn. Count your blessing if you dont have it.. They say that has to do with your baby having alot of hair. I havent found that to be true.
