No one hates poor people. In fact society bends overbackwards to help people who are in need. That's why we have unemployement insurence, Welfare, food stamps and student loans.

Then again all these generous aand well meaning programs can only bear fruits when the recipient is willing to help themselves.
The world does not owe us a living.

I could see you disliking some poor people but hating them? I think some people (including yourself) in society hates the poor, but the rest of us see the poor as people like ourselves.

Because a person is without money and means should never be the reason why you hate them.

society is the one that made the poor anyway. So why would they hate the poor just because they have to give them handouts.

My grandmother was working class and had little money. But whenever she went out of the house she looked smart and clean and wore make up and brushed her hair neatly. To look at her no one would have known she was poor.I commented this to her one day and she replied "No one feels sorry for you if you are poor, so never let them see that you are" You do not have to broadcast it to everyone by going around looking scruffy. It is not difficult to remain clean and tidy.
