If it is the depro prevera injection...I used to have it but not for contraception purposes, it was to halt my periods as they were so heavy and problematic...so no you don't get periods while you have it....I had the injection once a month but I am going back a fair few years now and I understand that it is given 3 monthly in some instances which would indicate that it lasts that length of time, however, there are studies of it interrupting and affecting menstruation for some time afterwards. Even though it has not been 3 months yet, I think you should consult your gp if you are worried.

I'm on the depo-shot and don't get my periods either. It happens a lot, depending on the female. I think it's only like 5% of females on it that still have regular periods. They should've told you all this when/before you got the shot. If you're worried though, contact your doctor. But more than likely it's nothing to worry about.

Hope that helped. ;D

I was on depo for 3 years and never got a period, boy do I miss that, it is very normal and your doc should have gone over that with you...about 90% of women don't get their period with depo and some can be irregular for a while.

my daughter didn't, and 7 months after coming off it she still hasn't had a period so she has got to go on hormone treatment to get them back.
