You could use those little carefree pads for discharge the ones that are ment for the last day of your period. I use tampax pearl for tampons. and pads, kotex pands. they smell good and they work good.

For discharge I do not use anything, discharge is normal it is one of the ways in which your vagina self-cleans in that the discharge helps to flush out excess bacteria and dirt from the vagina, discharge is also a defence method in that it helps keep the mucosa of the vagina moist to avoid splitting and helps protect against infections and diseases.

I don't use either a tampon or pad, there are over twenty different menstrual options so no reason to limit yourself to just tampons or pads, particularly when tampons pose such a large health risk. I use a menstrual cup, specifically a silicone bell-shaped menstrual cup because I think they look nicer than rubber cups and I don't like using softcups. I use a Mooncup mainly just because they are easier to buy here in the UK than Divacup or Lunette, but I may get a Divacup in 6 years when I need a new cup, I haven't decided yet as it's a long before I have to worry about it, lol.

just use always or kotex panty liners for the discharge - it is a normal function of the body to keep the parts clean and varies in frequency and consistency through-out your cycle.

As for tampons stay away from the new pearl tampax with the "leak proof" braid - it is a wick that will draw the blood out and you'll leak like never before, I recommend the good old fashioned tampax tampon and not the playtex or any that "flower" as they will get stuck if the flow is low and be very hard to remove especially when you are a virgin.

Kotex and Always both make a decent thin winged pad that come in regular and long for over night.

I use Always panty liners and pads (The ultra thin with wings....and the new kind that comes with a wipe are GREAT!). I have never used tampons.

For a discharge, I would see my doctor.

I have used tampons for 30+ years. I get Playtex.
