Ahaha~ I think the same I thought of them before! I do not like the Yankees! They win too many times and I was so freaking happy that the Tigers beat them! The Tigers aren't even my home team! It's funny though, I saw a commercial on ESPN where a girl locked herself in a room and was crying because the Red Sox didn't make the playoffs and then the guy trying to make her come up was something like don't worry about your team not making it or whatever, "October's the time to root against the Yankees." And then she came out of the room...you probably saw it, it was funny and so true! Any team but the yankees!

They are a great team!! We made the playoffs... In fact we've done that 11 years in a row... that's something to be proud of. A bunch of other teams went home Oct 1st.....
Against the Tigers, things didn't go our way... that's all. Yeah sure, I'm disappointed but it's not the end of the world.... I'll get over it.
Changes definitely need to be made - maybe they need a change in the manager, they definitely need better starting and relief pitchers, and they need to do something about the surplus of outfielders... Sheffield never should have been a first base in such an important game so that needs to be figured out.... then of course is the A-Rod situation....
I hope the Tigers get to the World Series.... because I want to see the Mets beat their tails off...... in a SWEEP!!!!

Simple. Steinbrenner has to spend more $$$$ . ARod didn't look like he was interested. They need pitching. Giambi is gone.

As for the Tigers any team who beats the Yanks (especially in postseason) is a team of mine!!!!

I am actually very proud of them and the way they handeled the Media in the after game interviews, there was NO finger pointing and No SOUR grapes they gave Props to the tigers and where very complimentary to a team that outplayed them.........

I am not a "fair weathered fan". They always have been and will continue to be my favorite baseball team. Yup, they lost to the Tigers. Where was A-Rod? Why does Randy Johnson not seem to perform when he REALLY needs to? Who knows.
But I will never stop being a Yankee fan until the day I die!!!!!!!!!

Yankees are way too over rated. I am from NY and think they suck. The only reason they are so popular is because they have so much money.

I HATE the yankees and always have. i was rootin for the tigers the whole time. but when they play the a's im gonna have to root for da a's. but i still HATE the yankees!!! the fat that i hate the yankees doesnt affect the fact that i LOVE new york
